After a Basset and two Labs who raised our three grown daughters, we were looking for a Doodle mix. We found John and his family. We were not sure what we wanted and spoke to John numerous times about types and sizes. We all decided Brody (Creed) would be the best for us, a toy golden doodle. John’s daughters were so sweet at pick up. You can feel the love they all have for their puppies. Brody has been home a few days and has an aorable, adventurous temperament. We can’t wait to watch him grow up. He will spoiled here and is perfect fit for our family. John’s expertise, knowledge and understanding made that possible for us. We had a wonderful experience choosing and purchasing our Bernedoodle puppy from Central Illinois Doodles. John was open and transparent in all of our communications, and we liked his practice of not carrying a long waiting list but instead posting each new litter as it arrives and then placing the puppies on a first-come, first-served basis. Our puppy pick-up experience was also smooth, informative, and well organized. All in all, very positive. Highly recommend!

For all those looking for bernedoodle breeders to adopt a puppy from, you have come to the right place! Central Illinois Doodles is an outstanding Illinois Bernedoodle Breeder. John is knowledgeable about his dogs and cares for them well. I live in central Iowa and had many questions before putting my deposit down. John answered my calls and we did a video call so I could see the conditions and puppies ahead of time which was important to me. I had researched and spoken to many different breeders prior to finding John and everyone had a waiting list from 6 – 18 months! We had just lost our Terrier after 15 years and were looking for a Bernedoodle puppy now. John’s solution is when the puppies are close to 8 weeks, he makes them available online for reservation. No leaving a deposit for a year in hopes a puppy becomes available. I was so grateful to Central Illinois Doodles for doing this! We are over the moon with our little Bernedoodle, Louie Snoopy Peanuts (may have had help from my granddaughter naming him)! He’s the talk of the town too! Adorable, healthy, funny, lovable, and handsome! Looking forward to many happy years with new family member! Thank you, John!

Our experience with Central Illinois Doodles has been a very pleasant one. Our phone calls and inquiries were always answered right away and we received helpful responses throughout our process of searching for the best bernedoodle puppy for our family! Similarly, the entire experience felt very personalized and comfortable, and we ended up with a dog that met all of our preferences. Picking up our puppy was quick and easy, but not rushed, and the affection John had for the dogs was clear. He even took a moment to say goodbye to the puppy. Choosing John & Central Illinois Doodles for our new micro Bernedoodle puppy was the best decision! We had a fantastic experience from start to finish — John was extremely communicative, kind, helpful & flexible in making sure to address all of my questions / logistics throughout the litter reservation process, puppy choosing date and the best day of all, puppy pickup / forever homecoming day! Further, it is abundantly evident this is a breeder that truly cares about the complete wellbeing of ALL of the dogs under their care: mommas, papas & puppies alike. This is of utmost importance to me personally, as I imagine it would be to others looking for the right breeder. Our Bernedoodle puppy (FKA Griffey of Amber & Bo’s litter) came home at 8wks well-socialized around humans/kids/dogs, a boatload of personality, love and intelligence. He has quickly picked up on training cues (in one week he already learned how to ring the bell to go potty outside!) and has adjusted well to city life. We could not be happier and would highly recommend John & Central Illinois Doodles to all families looking for the cutest & most well rounded doodles.

If you are looking for a small family breeder that loves their mom and dad doggies just as much as the puppies, this is a good place for you. I was impressed with John’s willingness to be in communication and answer any questions. The thing I love most about my F1B bernedoodle pup is how social she is with all people and other dogs – the Jess family does a great job in the early socialization process. She might be the most popular pup in my community! Everyone comments on how cute and friendly she is. She is definitely the perfect lifelong companion!

We absolutely adore Dude and thank Central Illinois Doodles for giving us such an amazing Bernedoodle puppy! Our experience was great with the choosing process- from updated photos every 2 weeks on the website, to fun videos on Instagram- we felt like we could get to know the puppies. Then when it came to choosing day, John was great showing us the puppies we had in mind via video chat and his enthusiasm talking about the puppies with us made it so much fun. We chose Dude, the pup formerly know as Brady from Diamond and Bo, and so far John has been spot on saying he has more Berner in him than Poodle, which we love! Since Dude came to us at 8 weeks via cargo to NYC, he has been so good with potty training, crate training, children, and other dogs. We could not love him more! Just one warning though- we get stopped everywhere we go, every potty break we’re on for people to comment how cute and nice he is!!

We purchased our beloved Jesse ‘formerly Fido’ from Central Illinois Doodles. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better addition to our family. He is the perfect combination of playful and snuggly. Potty train was a breeze. (As breezy as potty training can be) We started kennel training the day we brought him home. The first few nights were rough but by the end of the first week he slept in his kennel throughout the night, 9:30pm to 5:00am, without so much as a whimper. He is a very happy go lucky guy, he loves cats, other dogs and anything he lays eyes on. He’s never offer a growl or any sort of aggression. He does Not shed a single bit, which was never a deal breaker for us but definitely a plus! When we were searching for our new fur baby, it was a stressful journey. Once I came in contact with John Jess from Central Illinois Doodles I knew I would be purchasing our new puppy from him. He was exceptionally thorough when talking about his dogs, previous litters, and how he did business. He answered all my annoying little questions promptly. Worked with my on scheduling a pickup date because he knew I was traveling a couple hours and it was winter. When I picked Jesse up, his wife was extremely friendly. She answered a few more questions I had and she was very kind to my hooligans (4 kiddos that rode with me to pick Jesse up). Their kennel set-up was extremely clean and well taken care of! (HUGE PLUS!) And the dogs and other puppies all seemed happy and healthy! So if you’ve made it this far in the review, I highly recommend Central Illinois Doodles as they are the best Doodle Breeders in Illinois!

We adopted a Miniature Goldendoodle from Central Illinois Doodles in February of 2018 and they were wonderful to work with. Great people and communication was excellent and they were very prompt in responding to all our questions! Millie is our precious Miniature Goldendoodle and she has the best personality we’ve ever had in our fur baby family. She loves kids, her and our 1.5 yr old grandson absolutely love playing with each other! She was also the easiest puppy we’ve ever had to potty train, it only took about two weeks and she was as potty trained! She loves playing fetch and also loves swimming and playing fetch in our pool! Absolutely best dog we’ve ever had! You will love working with John and Ida, great people!

Montgomery, aka Monty has become the center of my world, as well as my husband’s. He is absolutely perfect and everything we could have ever imagined. From the moment we saw him online and reached out to Ida Mae & John the process was seamless. I always felt safe in knowing that they provide a healthy and happy home for these little pups while they are awaiting their forever homes. Ida Mae was amazing at providing photo and video updates while we anxiously got closer to our pickup date. The Jess’s were helpful in detailing what to expect from our little pup, the food they use, the exposure he had had and all veterinary related items as well. The only surprise for us was that Monty was a solo pup (which doesn’t happen very often) resulting in him being bigger – but that’s 100% alright with us, there is just more of him to love. He’s a Standard F1 Goldendoodle (I know they raise other sizes as well) he is a gentle giant with a heart of gold and has a wonderful, sweet, curious demeanor. He comes to work with me everyday and is a perfect companion. My husband and I will 100% be adopting our next dog from the Jess family when the time is right!
